Bice Dolciato began her college career as a two-sport varsity athlete, playing soccer and lacrosse at Gannon University in Erie, Pennsylvania. After one year, she transferred to The Ohio State University and completed her athletic career playing on the women’s varsity lacrosse team and rostered for two years on the women’s national team, representing the Midwest Division I of colleges.
Immediately after graduation, Bice joined the officiating and coaching circuit and took on her first coaching assistant role at The Ohio State club lacrosse team. Shortly after her club experience, she served as the head coach for three years at Jones Middle School in Upper Arlington with back-to-back undefeated seasons. To advance her coaching experience, Bice accepted the head coach position at The Wellington School in Upper Arlington, leading the team to its first ever Division II state championship. This accomplishment awarded her the coach of the year, which was presented by Ohio’s governor, Bob Taft.
When Bice and her family moved to Worthington, she quickly jumped in to help coach WYB and McCord Middle School. As of late, Bice is the assistant lacrosse coach at Blackjack for the class of 2024 select team; head coach of the JV women’s lacrosse team at Kilbourne High School; retired board member of the Central Ohio Women’s Lacrosse of Officials; and former lacrosse trainer for junior officials.
I grew up I Worthington, Ohio. I attended Thomas Worthington High School from 2016-2020. I started all four years in goal and achieved four varsity letters. I was also a two time varsity lacrosse captain. I played football my freshman year and lettered in that simultaneously. I am currently a junior at Ohio University studying recreation areas and facilities management with a minor in coaching education. Last summer was my first experience coaching with Black Jack. I am an alumnus of the program (2013-2019).
I coach because I want to give back to a community that gave so much to me. Club lacrosse has not only helped me grow on the field but I became a better young adult off the field. I hope to share the same skill and knowledge as I continue to further my coaching journey.
