Our qualified coaches, with a combined 100 years of coaching experience, offers the highest level of instruction. BJE coaches are dedicated in developing and growing the lacrosse skills of every athlete including strategic offense, defense, goalie training, face-offs, lacrosse I.Q. and more. We strive to create well rounded athletes. We aren’t just a club, we are a family.

Andre
Eric Hawkins
  • 2008 graduate of Thomas Worthington and played attack. Played MCLA club lacrosse at the University of Kentucky from 2009-2012, playing mostly attack or offensive midfield.
  • Currently in 6h season as offensive coordinator at Thomas Worthington.  Previously offensive coordinator at Lexington Catholic High School from 2010-2012 and then assistant head coach/offensive coordinator for the Columbus Saints Lacrosse club from 2013-2017.
Mason Schmeling
Mason Schmeling - Boys Coach

Mason Schmeling started his lacrosse career in the first grade in Hilliard, Ohio. He went on to play lacrosse at Hilliard Darby High School where he was a 4 year starter at the midfield position. Mason also took faceoffs. During his time at Hilliard Darby hewas a 4x All Conference midfielder, 2x All Region and All State his senior year.

Mason was also a captain of both the football and lacrosse teams his senior year. Mason has been inducted into the Hilliard Darby Athletic Hall of Fame for his work on the lacrosse and football teams.

Mason then went on to Ohio Northern University where he received his
Bachelors of Science degree in Middle Childhood Education with concentrations in
mathematics and science. Mason played 5 seasons for ONU at the midfield position.
Mason was a member of the leadership council all five years and a captain his fifth year.

While still in school, Mason started his coaching career over the summers by
joining BlackJack in 2018 where he still coaches. During the spring seasons Mason
coaches at Upper Arlington High School where he is starting his second year.
Mason is currently teaching 6th grade science at Hilliard Station where his
passion for helping develop kids continues

    • I coach at blackjack because I love this sport and furthering it in Columbus! 
    • My favorite sports memory is winning a MAC championship and going to the NCAA Tournament! 
    • A fun fact about me is that I was born in New Jersey.
Abbie Foltz: - Girls Coach
    • I attended Bishop Watterson High School and currently go to Indiana University. I play defense. 
    • I love coaching BlackJack because it lets me teach what I have learned to younger players. 
    • My favorite sports memory is when I was a part of the final four team for my highschool two years in a row.
Anthony Sanfillipo
Anthony Sanfillipo - Boys Coach

    • Played lacrosse competitively for 7 years. Graduated from Delaware Hayes in 2013 and was on back to back state championship lacrosse teams.  Graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University with a degree in Middle Childhood Education.  Played football for four years in college.
    • Going into my 9th year of coaching lacrosse. Coached at Delaware Middle School for 3 years, winning a state championship my second year.  Moved up to an assistant at Delaware Hayes High School in 2018, and became the head coach in 2020.
    • My dad started the lacrosse program in Delaware, so I wanted to do what I could to keep his vision going.  That along with enjoying working with kids made it an easy decision to coach lacrosse.  It is a privilege to use the game to instill values that players can use to become successful individuals in life.  That is the best feeling as a coach.

Bice Dolciato- Girls Coach

Bice Dolciato began her college career as a two-sport varsity athlete, playing soccer and lacrosse at Gannon University in Erie, Pennsylvania. After one year, she transferred to The Ohio State University and completed her athletic career playing on the women’s varsity lacrosse team and rostered for two years on the women’s national team, representing the Midwest Division I of colleges.

Immediately after graduation, Bice joined the officiating and coaching circuit and took on her first coaching assistant role at The Ohio State club lacrosse team. Shortly after her club experience, she served as the head coach for three years at Jones Middle School in Upper Arlington with back-to-back undefeated seasons. To advance her coaching experience, Bice accepted the head coach position at The Wellington School in Upper Arlington, leading the team to its first ever Division II state championship. This accomplishment awarded her the coach of the year, which was presented by Ohio’s governor, Bob Taft.

When Bice and her family moved to Worthington, she quickly jumped in to help coach WYB and McCord Middle School. As of late, Bice is the assistant lacrosse coach at Blackjack for the class of 2024 select team; head coach of the JV women’s lacrosse team at Kilbourne High School; retired board member of the Central Ohio Women’s Lacrosse of Officials; and former lacrosse trainer for junior officials.

  • The WHY – Blackjack Lacrosse is family. I coach Blackjack to help you student athletes grow as people to become better individuals. Blackjack Lacrosse allows me to utilize my skills in practicing that mindset is key, hardwork and discipline has value, and everyday you must take a step forward.  
  • Favorite sports memory- winning the state championships in 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019 at Upper Arlington High School.
  • Fun fact – I play amputee soccer and have the best service dog, Oliver.

  • I coach to give back to the game that has given me more than I can ever repay. I try to instill discipline, dedication, teamwork, and  love for the sport of  Lacrosse.
Xander Pacilio
Coach Xander Boys Coach
  • Coach Xander has 5 years of high school coaching experience.
  • Xander began coaching at Upper Arlington High School in Spring 2019 where helped the JV team to a 23-4 record in the ’19 and ’21 seasons.
  • In 2022 he moved up to varsity and helped UA to a 22-1 record with a D1 State Championship.
  • He has been with Blackjack since Summer 2021 and Urban Lacrosse Academy since Winter 2023.
  • Xander hails from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where he helped his team to its first ever Inter-Ac win in 2013 before helping Ohio Wesleyan University ’18 to multiple NCAC titles and two trips to the NCAA Elite Eight. 
Owen Kehl
Own Kehl - Boys Coach

I grew up I Worthington, Ohio. I attended Thomas Worthington High School from 2016-2020. I started all four years in goal and achieved four varsity letters. I was also a two time varsity lacrosse captain. I played football my freshman year and lettered in that simultaneously. I am currently a junior at Ohio University studying recreation areas and facilities management with a minor in coaching education. Last summer was my first experience coaching with Black Jack. I am an alumnus of the program (2013-2019). 

I coach because I want to give back to a community that gave so much to me. Club lacrosse has not only helped me grow on the field but I became a better young adult off the field. I hope to share the same skill and knowledge as I continue to further my coaching journey.

Henry Blevins
Henry Blevins - Boys Coach

My name is Henry Blevins, I am a sophomore in college and I coach lacrosse at Blackjack Elite Lacrosse Club. This summer season will be my 2nd year of coaching youth and middle school lacrosse. I played lacrosse at Blackjack Elite from 6th grade up unto my Junior year of high school as an LSM. I also played at Bishop Watterson High School (class of 21’) and am currently playing for the Ohio State Club Lacrosse Team. Throughout my life lacrosse has always been an amazing joy for me with countless memories made from it. I hope to be able to help others make amazing memories, as my coaches did for me.

John Blevins - Boys Coach

My name is John Blevins and I am a lacrosse coach at Blackjack Elite Lacrosse Club and Bishop Watterson High School. This will be my 5th year coaching lacrosse to youth, middle school, and high school athletes. Previously I played LSM for Bishop Watterson (Class of ’17) and for Ohio State Club Lacrosse (Class of ’21). During my middle school and high school days I was lucky enough to learn from some incredible coaches and players who have inspired me to pass on the love for the game through coaching.

Dominic Dimaccio
Dominic Dimaccio - Boys Coach

Played lacrosse as a Midfielder and as a Faceoff Specialist for St. Francis DeSales HS. Started as a freshman and lettered every year as a player. Played club lacrosse for Blackjack Elite for 3 years. Finished lacrosse career early to train and to play collegiate football for The Ohio State University for 4 years. 

Molly Esque - Girls Coach

I graduated from Bexley High School as a four year varsity started and two year captain. I was voted first team MSL and CIL and second team all-state my senior year, second team MSL and CIL and honorable mention all-state my junior year.
